Response to Becoming Invaluable
This was a great slide show that I really learned a lot from. It's teaching us to start planning now before it is too late. You really need to use your school courses and assignments to develop skills. When you join an organization, you want to add multiple values to it to make you look good. Reinhardt University is a Liberal Arts College that allows you to become the person you want to be, instead of someone else. You need to learn to reflect and reason while your in school, and make new friends while experiencing the college life. The question is where do you see yourself in five years? Where do you want to be? Starting off as a freshman, you need to get involved right away with any school activities. As a sophmore, you need to start thinking about experiences and building your skills for success. As a junior, your academics should be your main priority and start to develop leadership roles. And as a SENIOR, you need to determine whether or not you want to go to grad school, which I don't so I need to think of other options. I learned that we rank near the top with experiential learning requirements. You want to think about what skills you can demonstrate well? And some things that employers want to look for is outstanding grades, experiences, networking, and free time experience. I hope to do my internship with the Rome Braves, but we will see if anything else comes up. I need to start applying now so I can have a job in the summer. This slide show was a good reality check!!
