Team USA leads medal standings after opening weekend
The Winter Olympics is an important event that happens every two years. It's opening weekend was this past weekend and so far the U.S. is looking pretty good. Unfortunately, there was a tragic death that occurred right before the games started so the opening ceremony was dedicated to this man whose name is Kumaritashvili. All the countries are competing for excellence. As of today, the U.S. has gotten one gold medal, one silver, and three bronze medals.
